Buy and take trade-ins at the counter.
Purchases and trade-ins start in one place, with the customer's details, a signed agreement and photos of every item. What you buy goes straight into your inventory, with its cost, ready to list.
Buy from customers, in the store or by mail
- The customer's details and a photo of their ID, kept internal
- Payment by cash, Zelle, check, wire or gift card, with receipts attached
- An agreement the customer signs on screen, printed or emailed to them
- Mail-in purchases for customers who send items in
- Bulk lots for lower-value items bought together
Trade-ins with items on both sides
A trade-in records what the customer brings in and what they take away from your stock. The agreed trade-in value becomes the item's cost, and the settlement shows who owes what. When the customer owes you, send an invoice or take payment at the counter.
From the counter to the listing
Every item you buy or take in gets its own number and label, and moves into a tray for photos and details with its intake notes and cost already filled in. Nothing is typed twice.
Questions
Does Sellevry keep a copy of the customer's ID?
A photo of the ID is stored with the purchase for your records. It is internal only and never shown to the customer.
Can customers mail items in?
Yes. Mail-in purchases and mail-in trade-ins are tracked from the moment the parcel is expected until you pay.
Does the trade-in value become the item's cost?
Yes. The agreed value is the item's acquisition cost, so your profit reports are right from the start.
